In the summer of 2018, I flew for the first time, solo, across the country. I had one bag, no home, car, or job to come back to, and I had never felt so free.
I had been planning this trip for years. Saving all I could to buy the tickets to fly to see my best friend from middle school.
We went on so many adventures, we saw so much art, cooked and ate incredible food, and laughed more than I ever have in my whole life. I was so inspired by the city and the freedom to just be myself. For the first time in my life, I felt like I could be me.
