Christie Rose (she/her) (also known as Wild Rose Arts) is a visual artist who focuses on experimentation, often incorporating her writing into her multimedia work. Christie graduated from The College of Saint Rose in 2019, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Small Business and a minor in Photography. Christie's passion, enthusiasm, and dedication to the community encourage underrepresented artists to connect with one another to build a more diverse local art scene. Christie’s connection to the community was rooted in her individual involvement. Since 2022, she has taken on the role of Director for Albany Barn, with her current title being Director of Artist Relations. This positiion gives her the incredible honor of working with ABI's 200+ residents/members, curating and maintaining our three gallery spaces, managing their social media (follow @albanybarn), and coordinating public art projects (and whatever else needs to be done).
Photography has always been the outcast in the art scene, and so has Christie. Abstract art is confusing, and so is Christie. This young artist has always found a connection with abstract/messy work because first the first time in her life; when she was creating, she had control over the chaos. The pieces Christie creates are always personal; she focuses on themes that have significantly impacted her life, such as addiction, depression, and abuse. Christie hopes that the viewer takes what they need from her work and knows that they are never alone.
In 2026, Christie graduated from Russell Sage College with her Master's in Art Education. If you are a fellow art educator, you can request to join her group here! It's like Facebook for art teachers, but it doesn't suck.
She is so excited to announce that she deleted all of her personal social media accounts in 2026. She is actively working on adding all of her updates to her blog, so make sure you subscribe to be notified! If you want to connect, please submit the contact form or send an email!
